He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. After graduation he joined the Hospital in Brandýs nad Labem. Since 1990 he has been working at the Central Military Hospital in Prague (ÚVN Praha), where from 1996 to 2004 he held the position of deputy chief physician in the Department of Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery.
After this department became a part of the Clinic of Orthopaedics, Traumatology and Reconstructive Surgery as part of the reorganization, he has been the head of the Department of Reconstructive Surgery since 2007.
At the Institute of Aesthetic Medicine in Prague, he has been part of the plastic surgery department team since 2006. He specializes in aesthetic facial surgery, especially in profile surgery (aesthetic surgery of the lower face, jaw and chin).
He has authored and co-authored a number of articles in professional journals. He actively participates in congresses and seminars in the field of plastic and maxillofacial surgery. He has completed a number of internships and specialized courses at home and abroad. He is also engaged in pedagogical activities.
